• GOD LOVES YOU!
John 3:16 tells us ..."For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
That means God loved you enough to send Jesus to die for you.  God's love is unconditional. You don't have to do anything to earn it...you don't have to do anything to keep it....God loves you simply because you are you.

• EVERYONE HAS SINNED...
Romans 3:23 says..."For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
Sin is anything that we say or do or even think that displeases God. God is perfect and sin is imperfection so our sin separates us from God. The Bible says that ALL have sinned...we are born with a natural desire to sin.

• GOD HAS A PLAN...
God loved us enough to provide a way for us to be forgiven for the sin that separates us from Him. That plan is Jesus Christ. Jesus came to the earth and lived among men...but he was different. He had no sin. He never did anything wrong. He lived and set a perfect example for us...then, he was taken and horribly crucified. He was beaten and abused and mocked and scorned. But this was all part of God's plan. It takes blood to make atonement for our sin...and only the blood of a perfect sacrifice would work. Jesus was the only one who was perfect. He didn't have to die for us...he could have stopped the torture at any time simply by speaking...but he didn't. He CHOSE to die for us to complete the Father's plan and allow us to be forgiven of our sin.
John 1:12 says..."But to as many as received Him...to them gave He power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe on His name."

• GOD'S FORGIVENESS!
Romans 10:9 tells us ..."If thou shalt confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
That means that all you have to do is confess to God that you have sinned, believe that Jesus died to make atonement for that sin and God will give you the free gift of eternal life. It really is that simple. God doesn't demand fancy prayers with big words...God wants the sincerity of your heart. Simply tell him that you realize you have sinned and that you know your sin separates you from Him...tell him you believe Jesus died for your sins and ask his forgiveness.
